Mullets on the Run: 5-and 10-Mile "Mullet Haul" Trail Run - Annual March Event

(Mullet Hall Equestrian Center on Johns Island)

Whether artificial or authentic, if you are a fan of or boast your own "mullet" hairstyle, mark your calendars! Dubbed the Mullet Haul, this annual trail run encourages runners to sport either real or imitation mullets during their participation in the race, held at Mullet Hall Equestrian Center on Johns Island.

The Mullet Haul features both a 5- and 10-mile off-road run on the equestrian trails of the park on Johns Island Saturday. Runners are encouraged, but not required, to sport a mullet hairstyle as part of this themed event. The best mullet will be awarded a prize. Following the races, awards will be presented for the top runners, and all participants will be invited to take part in a post-race party featuring live music and complimentary food and beverages.

The Mullet Haul is for ages 10 and older. Participants ages 10-15 must be accompanied by an adult; however, adult chaperones do not need to participate in the run. Dogs and strollers are not allowed at this event.

Traditionally open for horse owners, trail riding and equestrian events only, this is the only race hosted at Mullet Hall Equestrian Center by the Charleston County Park and Recreation Commission. Mullet Hall Equestrian Center is located at 2662 Mullet Hall Road (off of River Road) on Johns Island. The Mullet Haul run is brought to you by The Foot Store and Your Charleston County Parks.
