LaQuinta Riverview was Very Nice

We wanted an economical place to stay but close to downtown and this was perfect for us. It was right on the river (but you have to reserve a riverview room otherwise you'll be facing the highway). We know Charleston well so did not mind driving into town. It only took us 7 minutes to get there since it is just over the connector bridge. Folly Beach is only 15 minutes away. We looked at the Marriotts in the same vicinity but they were way too pricey. For the price, this was a great little hotel. I would stay here again.

Margo, I'm glad you liked this hotel. I agree this is a great option for those that don't want to pay high prices for an ideal location. This is actually where my in-laws stay when they come to visit us and they love that they can walk out the front door and go for a walk on the docks. It's also convenient to have California Dreaming right there for a nice lunch or dinner overlooking the river.
